3Rs NEWS!

Ruby Rainbows Day with BBC Radio Leicester

On Saturday October 13th, the 3Rs Committee, displays and the simulator bell visited BBC Radio Leicester's Open Centre.

Based there all day, we aimed to demonstrate bell ringing and raise public awareness, to coincide with the ringing of a fundraising peal at Leicester Cathedral for BBC Leicester's Ruby Rainbow Appeal. As well as members of the public throughout the day, we also got an on air interview, gave presenter Simon Ford a go live and even pursuaded the receptionist to try!

You can see the peal report on Campanophile, or pictures from our morning feature on the radio . Thank you to everyone who helped!

Have a look at the recruitment page to learn more about the 3R's Committee and how they can help you recruit new ringers.

Guild Newsletter

The Leicester Guild newsletter, ldgNEWS, is a bi-annual publication available free to Guild towers and downloadable from here. It is co-ordinated by the LDG 3Rs Committee (Recruitment and Retention of Ringers) and aims to enhance communication within the Guild by giving members the opportunity to see what's going on in other districts and maybe get some ideas for their own.

Editor, Jennie Paul, is always looking for contributions of articles or feedback. Only with your help can we make it better! We want to produce a newsletter that members will find interesting and informative, let us know how we are doing.
