3Rs NEWS!
Ruby Rainbows Day with BBC Radio Leicester
On Saturday October 13th, the 3Rs Committee, displays and the simulator bell visited BBC
Radio Leicester's Open Centre.
Based there all day, we aimed to demonstrate bell ringing and raise public awareness, to
coincide with the ringing of a fundraising peal at Leicester Cathedral for
BBC Leicester's Ruby Rainbow Appeal.
As well as members of the public throughout the day, we also got an on air interview, gave presenter
Simon Ford a go live and even pursuaded the receptionist to try!
You can see the peal report on Campanophile, or
pictures from our morning feature on the radio
. Thank you to everyone who helped!
Have a look at the recruitment page to
learn more about the 3R's Committee and how they can help you recruit new ringers.
